Joshua Valle

Joshua Valle Just Hits

Joshua Valle is originally from Long Island, NY where he attended Brentwood Ross High School from 2002-2005. While in high school, he was a 3 year varsity starter for the Brentwood Indians. In those 3 years Joshua received All-League honors in 2002 & 2004, and All-County honors in 2004. Josh finished his last 15 at bats in high school and amazing 10 for 15! His attitude and continual love for the game of baseball made him the recipient of the State Courage Award; an award given for good sportsmanship & character by the State of NY.

After being highly recruited by several Division I universities, Joshua made the decision to bring his talent to Marshall University in West Virginia. There he studied Sports Management for 4 years. A four year starter for the "Thundering Herd" Joshua finished in the top 5 in batting average two of the four years he played. As a freshman, Joshua was named to the Conference USA All Freshman Team where he ended the season with a .375 batting average. Joshua's next 2 seasons proved just as successful as he remained one of the standout players in the Conference getting the attention from scouts from both the Cardinals & Mariners organizations.

After his Senior year, Joshua left Marshall accomplishing a top 5 ranking in almost every offensive and defensive category in Marshall school history. Joshua signed in the New York State Instructional League the following year, and soon after signed to play independent pro ball with the Carlsbad Bats of the Pecos League. During his time with Carlsbad, Joshua hit over .300 and was soon traded to the Ruidoso Osos where he helped lead the team through to the playoffs then to the championship game. Most recently, Joshua played for the Santa Fe Fuego of the Pecos League where he hit well over .300 and finished in the top 10 of several league offensive categories.

Today, Joshua continues to pursue education, along with the passion for the game of baseball. This passion for the game along with his knowledge of the sport makes him an effective instructor / trainer of the game.

After his professional baseball career, Josh joined a competitive Men's Fast Pitch Softball League in Long Island NY where he played for a season as head softball pitcher learning the intricacies of pitching from a softball persepctive. He throws hard and has many different pitches as he leads our weekly softball live hitting (seasonal.) He adds that to his resume as well to help Chrsitin in the softball pitching department.

"Josh has a passion for the game like I haven't seen in a long time. His patience with the younger players and willingness to push the older players has allowed him to gel nicely in the Just Hits facility. He has vision, determination, and an understanding of how to convey in depth hitting instruction. He's a lefty power hitter that was a force to be reckoned with at the plate. He adds growth to the Just Hits dream team and is a big part of the Just Hits future." -Owner, Mike Just
